An exceptional specialist SEN school in Newbury is seeking a Mental Health Assistant to join their supportive and forward-thinking team. This full-time role offers a unique opportunity to work in outstanding facilities, supporting pupils with Autism (including non-verbal students), ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health needs.
This Mental Health Assistant role is ideal for graduates in Psychology, Counselling, Criminology, or Education, or for individuals with a genuine passion for inclusive and therapeutic education.

Location: Newbury
Salary: 89- 100 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Age Range: Children and young people aged 5 to 18
Your Role Will Include:
- Supporting pupils with ASD, including non-verbal communication needs
Assisting students with emotional regulation and mental wellbeing
Working 1:1 and in small groups using communication tools such as visual supports and sensory strategies
Collaborating with Teachers, Therapists, and SEN professionals
