Role Overview

We are seeking to appoint a 12-month fixed-term Lecturer in Psychology, with specific expertise in an area of quantitative psychology (e.g. cognitive, biological, or applied psychology). The position is a maternity cover role. The successful candidate will demonstrate a research profile aligned to our existing research strengths and will teach across the undergraduate and postgraduate curricula and in a variety of settings, including small-group workshops/seminars and large-group lectures; supervise research students; provide assessment and feedback; and offer pastoral and academic support to students.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching across a range of settings, including workshops, seminars, and lectures.
  • Supervise research students and provide assessment and feedback.
  • Provide pastoral and academic support to students.
  • Contribute to departmental research and teaching initiatives aligned to quantitative psychology.
Qualifications
  • Doctorate in Psychology or a related discipline at the point of application.
  • Established or growing research profile in quantitative psychology aligned to department strengths.
  • Experience teaching across the British Psychological Society Curriculum, including foundation year and postgraduate provision.
  • Strong commitment to inclusive teaching and research in a diverse academic community.
