Provides individual and group guidance using prevention and intervention counseling methods in the areas of academics, social behaviors. Follows the Guidance Curriculum for the area of responsibility. Collaborates with parents and staff to identify and address individual student needs by:
Monitoring the progress of all students with academic difficulties in conjunction with the special service team. Plans intervention procedures and follow-ups for students with academic problems
Carries out individual and group counseling of students. Carries out individual initial emotional screening.
Assists students who are entering the school by notifying appropriate staff members and carrying out new student orientation activities.
Assumes responsibilities as a member of the Crisis Response Team
Assumes responsibilities as a member of the Special Services Team
Coordinates standardized testing, which is under the responsibility of the HS Guidance Counselor.
Coordinates with other counselors to develop and implement a comprehensive K-12 guidance and counseling program.
Profile:International mindset
At least 3 years of experience Counseling in International schools
Master’s degree preferred
Native or Proficient use of English
Experience with PYP and IB/DP is preferred
Spanish proficiency is preferred
Conflict resolution skills
