Role Overview
The King's School Shenzhen seeks an accomplished and strategic Head of University Guidance Office to lead our university guidance programme. This pivotal role demands expert-level proficiency in the UK UCAS system, with the primary objective of managing the entire application process for our students. The successful candidate will ensure the highest standards of accuracy and strategy for applications to the UK, US, Hong Kong, and Australia.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the University Guidance Strategy: Design, implement, and manage a comprehensive advisory programme for students and parents.• Master the UCAS Process: Serve as the school's UCAS expert, overseeing all applications from registration to submission. This includes guaranteeing the accuracy of predicted and final grades within the system.• Drive Student Application Quality: Guide students in developing compelling personal statements and provide direct support throughout their application journey.• Oversee School References: Collaborate with teaching staff to identify student strengths and compile powerful, accurate UCAS references.• Manage Global Applications: Direct the application processes for the US, Hong Kong, and Australia, ensuring adherence to specific requirements and deadlines.• Mentor and Lead: Manage the university guidance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous development.

The Ideal Candidate
Essential: A minimum of 5 years of direct experience managing UCAS applications within a UK independent school or an international school setting in China, with a proven track record of success.• Expertise: Deep, practical knowledge of UK university admissions is non-negotiable. Strong familiarity with US, Hong Kong, and Australian systems is highly valued.• Skills: Exceptional organisational, administrative, and leadership abilities. Meticulous attention to detail is critical for managing complex data and deadlines.• Personal Attributes: A strategic thinker, an excellent communicator, and a proactive mentor who can guide both students and faculty with integrity and discretion.
