Female Mental Health Support Worker

Location: Bristol
Hours: 37.5 and x1 sleep in shift a week (sleep in optional)
Salary: £31,155.54 per annum including sleep ins

Contract: Temp to perm
Requirement: UK Driving license

Embark on an exciting journey with a leading mental health charity as a Support Navigator! In this dynamic contract role, you'll be the guiding light for individuals navigating the complexities of community-based services. You will be working directly with complex mental health issues, with the optional opportunity to pick up either 1 or 2 sleep-in shifts a week. The annual salary is based on full-time hours and 1x sleep in per week.

Please note this post is open to female applicants only, as being female is deemed a Genuine Occupational Requirement in accordance with Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010. You will be working in the female trauma team supporting females with a history of trauma.

Standout Highlights:
  • Manage a caseload of service users with complex mental health needs, and neurodivergence.
  • Collaboratively create, update, and review risk assessments and support plans.
  • Support with crisis intervention & management.
  • Work in the community across x2 services and sometimes within people s homes.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively liaise with service users, colleagues, and external support providers.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to navigate complex systems and find solutions.
  • Empathy and compassion to provide a caring and supportive experience.
  • Familiarity with community-based services and resources.
  • Proficiency in data management and record-keeping.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant experience in a social service, healthcare, or community-based role.
  • Experience working with individuals with a diverse range of mental health diagnoses.
  • Demonstrated commitment to advocating for underserved populations
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
