Job Overview

Swindon Borough Council is transforming service delivery. We seek an Educational Psychologist to support vulnerable children and young people.

Role

Friendly, supportive team operating within Children's Services. Hybrid working model with on site and remote sessions. Full or part time positions (minimum 0.6 FTE) and up to three SPA points (existing points honoured).

Responsibilities

Deliver statutory services and a successful traded service to schools. Provide interventions, training programmes, group supervision, coaching, consultation clinics, circles of support and organisational research. Engage in ELSA, MeLSA and Cygnet developments. Manage a supportive, flexible workload with variety through traded and commissioned work.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) or in training towards HCPC registration.
  • Fluent in English (required by Part 7 of the Immigration Act).
  • Commitment to supporting the inclusion of vulnerable children and young people.
  • Focus on children and young people at the centre of practice.
  • Creative, flexible, positive, solution focused.
  • Ability to work successfully in a multi disciplinary team.
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships with other practitioners and partners.
  • Pro active in developing and sharing knowledge and skills.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the borough and access to a car.

Salary & Logistics
