Deputy Principal Educational Psychologist
Permanent 1.0 FTE 37 hours per week with hybrid working arrangements.
- HCPC registered
- Minimum of 5 years' experience within a Local Authority
- Enhanced DBS is required for this position.
- Previous SPA points will be honoured.
- Years of continuous service within other local authorities will be applied.
Wrexham EPS is looking to appoint a Deputy Principal Educational Psychologist to join our expanding team. This is a new role and ideal for an experienced Educational Psychologist or Senior Psychologist with aspirations to become a Principal Educational Psychologist. The role involves working closely with the Principal Educational Psychologist to develop management skills and managing a patch of schools to deliver psychological services to meet the needs of children.
Wrexham Council has rural and urban schools, a special school, Resource Provisions attached to mainstream schools, and Pupil Referral Units. A successful candidate would broaden their psychological and managerial knowledge across a range of situations and offer specialist skills to develop creative, sustainable ways to meet children's diverse needs.
The successful candidate will join an EPS seen as integral to supporting children and internal services, and a team highly valued throughout schools, Education and Inclusion services within Wrexham.
