About this jobWe wish to appoint a Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner (MH Practitioner) or Band 6 Educational Mental Health Practitioner/Children's and Young People's Wellbeing Practitioner (EMHP/CYPWP) into our Cheshire Mental Health Support Team in Schools (MHST). The successful candidate will work within our Wave 11 team, primarily supporting the 16 year old age group.
Applicants may apply as a Children's and Young People's Practitioner (CYPMHP) if they hold a core professional qualification, or as a Senior EMHP/CYPWP meeting all other requirements.
We seek an enthusiastic, dynamic individual with a demonstrable track record of CAMHS and/or MHST clinical and supervisory experience. The role focuses on developing access to emotional support within secondary schools and colleges.
Responsibilities- Hold a caseload and provide direct support to young people.
- Support leadership and contribute to the development of MHST alongside the Clinical Lead and Clinical Coordinator.
- Supervise practitioners and senior colleagues within the service and the borough.
- Promote positive mental well being and mental health.
- Participate in the multidisciplinary team to assess, deliver and evaluate mental health needs of young people accepted by the service.
- Band 6 level with a core professional qualification in mental health or education.
- Experience in CAMHS, MHST or a related child and youth mental health setting.
- Evidence of supervisory/leadership experience.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence based practice.

Salary range
