- Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists
- A recognised and accredited qualification in your therapeutic field (e.g. Master's in Art Therapy)
- Registration with a relevant professional body (e.g. HCPC, UKCP, BACP)
- Experience working as a qualified practitioner (ideally 1+ year post-qualification)
- Experience supporting children with care experience and/or working as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions for children and young people
- Offer specialist consultation and guidance to local and regional teams
- Contribute to clinical assessments, formulations, and care planning
- Apply a consistent therapeutic model across services
- Share therapeutic insights on referred cases with operational colleagues
- Collaborate with other clinicians across the wider service area
- Deliver training sessions to staff on therapeutic approaches and related topics
- Provide cross-service consultation on child trauma, attachment, and recovery
- Offer a therapeutic perspective in service planning and clinical meetings
- Support service development projects based on identified therapeutic needs
- Liaise with external agencies such as Local Authorities and the NHS
- Keep up to date with research to inform and support evidence-based practice
- Contribute to the use and development of clinical outcome measures
- Where appropriate, support or initiate service-based research initiatives
- Engage in regular supervision and continuing professional development
- Adhere to relevant ethical, professional, and organisational standards
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records
- Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all areas of work
- Be alert to and act on safeguarding concerns
- Travel within the region as needed to carry out responsibilities
