Counsellor (Multiple Vacancies) - Charity
Hours: 14-21 hours, Part-time / Permanent
Location: Hybrid role with the post holder being based at head office in Barnet for 1 day a week
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver one to one, face to face and remote counselling to survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence, providing trauma informed, client centred support.
- Empower clients to explore their experiences and feelings, supporting recovery through ongoing review, reflection and evaluation.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records, manage your own caseload administration, and support monitoring and evaluation processes.
- Work in line with BACP and UKCP ethical frameworks, participate in regular supervision and CPD, and adhere to all organisational policies and procedures.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment by attending regular staff and counselling meetings and working flexibly, including occasional evenings or weekends as required.
Brief Job Summary
This is the only charity in the UK working with Jewish women and their children affected by domestic violence. You will work with clients over the week and will also support the Therapeutic Service Manager with some admin work. You will receive regular clinical supervision and CPD opportunities.
We are looking for a compassionate, non judgemental and motivated individual who is passionate about supporting abuse survivors. You will already have experience of working with vulnerable clients who are survivors of domestic abuse. Good understanding of domestic abuse dynamics and knowledge of the Jewish community is essential. EMDR training and Hebrew speaking will be an advantage.

Salary range
- GPB 80,000 - GPB 100,000
