Job summary
We're looking for a Counsellor to join our team at the Cardiff and the Vale Hospice.
The Counsellor is part of the Allied Health Professionals Team at the Marie Curie Hospice, providing specialist counselling and bereavement support to patients, carers, and families as a key member of the multidisciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
The role involves delivering flexible, high-quality emotional support, collaborating closely with colleagues and external agencies, and ensuring best practice in line with Marie Curie's Emotional Support Policy.The Counsellor also contributes to team meetings, care planning, and service improvement, helping to create a supportive environment for those facing loss and end-of-life care.

Salary:Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 5 (aligned with AFC) £31,516 - £38,364 pro rata per annum + enhancements
Contract:Permanent, Part-Time, 15-hours per week.
Based:Cardiff and the Vale Hospice

- Strong communication and record-keeping skills, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding professional standards.
- Experience working with diverse age groups and an understanding of palliative care and clinical governance.
- Proactive, reflective, and committed to ongoing professional development and service improvement.
- A UK Drivers license and access to a vehicle.
