At Queen’s International School, we’re looking for an outstanding Student Counsellor and Career Guidance Advisor to help our students thrive socially, emotionally and academically as they prepare for their bright futures. This role is for the 2026-27 academic year.

The RoleIn this vital position, you will support students’ emotional wellbeing, personal development, and career readiness. You’ll provide guidance, empathy, and expertise to ensure every student feels supported, understood, and inspired to reach their full potential.
You will:
  • Deliver individual and group counselling to promote mental health, resilience, and self-confidence.
  • Support students in managing stress, transitions, peer relationships, and personal challenges.
  • Provide personalised career guidance, helping students identify their strengths and explore higher education or vocational pathways.
  • Coordinate career talks, university visits, and enrichment events to broaden students’ horizons.
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and leadership to foster a culture of care and achievement.
  • Play an active role in the school’s safeguarding and wellbeing initiatives to ensure every child feels safe, valued, and supported.
  • Embody the values and vision of Queen’s and Artemis Education in everything you do.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a compassionate and proactive individual who:
  • Holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Education or Counselling
  • Has at least three years' relevant work experience in teaching or within a school setting
  • Possesses expertise in student counselling and career guidance, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Is empathetic, culturally sensitive, and discreet, with the ability to build trusting relationships.
  • Thrives in a collaborative environment with others and is committed to the school’s mission and values.
