Job Title: Counselling Lecturer

Salary: £30 - £35 per hour
Contract: Temporary 4 Days per Week Term-time Only

About the RoleWe are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Counselling Lecturer to join a college in North London on a temporary basis, working 4 days per week. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and supportive counselling lessons to students across further education programmes, helping learners develop both theoretical knowledge and practical skills within the counselling field. Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality counselling lessons across FE programmes
- Prepare engaging lesson plans and learning materials
- Support and assess students throughout their studies
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Contribute to curriculum development and course improvement
- Maintain accurate student records and comply with safeguarding procedures
- Support learners with academic and pastoral needs where required
- Relevant qualification in Counselling or a related subject
- Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
- Experience teaching Counselling within FE, HE, or adult education - desirable
- Strong understanding of counselling theories and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds
- Organised, adaptable, and passionate about education
- Experience delivering Level 2-Level 4 Counselling courses
- Membership with a professional counselling body such as BACP
- Knowledge of safeguarding and student wellbeing practices
- Competitive hourly rate of £30 - £35 per hour
