Job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated clinical / counselling psychologist or CBT Therapist to join our small and friendly team of clinicians at Here for You delivering both individual and team psychological interventions to staff within a compassionate and inclusive framework.

We offer a wide range of psychological interventions within Here for You which we continually review and develop as required to meet the needs of our staff and the latest evidence-based practice. The post holder will play an important role, as part of the clinical team, to support these developments and work closely with the Deputy Clinical Lead & Clinical and Service Lead.

This is an excellent opportunity to use and develop specialist clinical skills within a committed and supportive team and play an important role in helping to support the mental health of staff working in NHS and local government. Working both within our organisation and across the whole system; a keenness to develop new skills and to deliver a responsive and compassionate service is essential.

At Here for You, we are a team of qualified psychological practitioners, who offer expert free, confidential psychological & mental health support for people working at Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and partner organisations across Surrey.

Applicants must be hold a professional registration with a regulated body e.g.HCPC, NMC or Social Work England with BABCP accreditation (for non-psychologists).

Main duties of the job

To offer inclusive, personalised and evidence-based specialist clinical skills & practice within a team of psychological practitioners providing a specialist psychological & mental health support service to eligible staff who are experiencing a need for psychological support due to reasons both within work and outside of work.

In particular:

To offer individual staff psychological assessment & therapy to referred staff; some interventions are offered virtually, and some are offered face to face.

To undertake high quality triage and signposting to community resources, Talking Therapies and Secondary Care Services as appropriate.

Develop and run workshops using psychoeducational and reflective practice skills relating to the evidence base for psychological interventions with staff.

To work closely within Here for You team to regularly review our workshops ensuring we deliver evidence-based interventions using current best practice in the area of staff psychological support within a compassionate framework.

To ensure the clinical effectiveness of own practice and of service functioning by undertaking audit, research and service development activities relevant to the service area.

To proactively outreach to identified at risk groups of staff.

To work closely with Deputy Clinical Lead & Clinical and Service Lead and playing a leadership role in developing this service across the system & with our partner organisations.
