
Clinical Operations Manager
We have a superb opportunity for an Clinical Operations Manager. PAM Group provide Occupational Health services to a number of well-known companies, brands & local authorities across the UK.
PAM will operate from a number of medical centres across this contract the initial one being West Street MK18 2EP, the other will be at Small Dean HP22 6PQ 25 miles from MK; A41 Bicester HP18 0PX 16 miles from MK, Chipping Warden NN11 6UA 28 miles from MK and A43 Brackley South NN13 7TY, 23 miles from MK.
This position is to cover the South and North of the trace depending on requirements. The post holder will need to be willing to visit any of the medical centres within their patch and to cover for each other for annual leave / sickness.
To be considered for the role you MUST have.
- Hold a valid NMC PIN Number - No restrictions
- Degree or Diploma Occupational Health
- Must hold a valid Driving License
- Experience in providing occupational health in a similar sector.
- Minimum of 6 months UK based work experience
- £55,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience
- Car allowance provided
About the role:
Manage a multi-disciplinary Occupational Health team, including Senior OHA, OHAs, tOHAs, OHNs, OHTs, Wellbeing Advisors, Wellbeing Coach and Counsellor, Physiotherapists, Occupational Hygienists, and trainee Occupational Hygienist. providing support, guidance, and development to ensure the highest professional, evidence-based standards are maintained.
Support the Operations Director, identifying trends and insight to support the client and develop new services and education programmes.
Attend Client meetings to establish and continue to develop effective working relationships.
Recruitment of new team members and review leavers.
Review data and identify trends providing solutions to eliminate or reduce any issues relating to health hazards or physical and mental health.
Management of day-to-day operations and work with Client Services to ensure diaries are fully utilised and the team delivering the agreed services.
New client implementations including site and clinician familiarisation to ensure safety maintained.
Guide the multi-disciplinary team to establish innovative and effective initiatives to raise awareness and educate the workforce focusing on health hazards, physical, and mental health issues.
Manage the document controller to ensure the extensive health education content library is up to date and in sync with the Client’s intranet.
Develop and mentor the team through coaching and clinical support, identifying training needs and ensure every team member has the appropriate skills and knowledge required for the task.
Provide ongoing training and advice for complex cases.
Regularly review audit scores and identify coaching for improvement if necessary.
Contribute towards safe working practices across the Occupational Health team and ensure Clinical Governance is adhered to by colleagues within the team.
Review of Occupational Health standards, policies, and procedures and NMC guidelines to ensure the team are up to date with any changes. Development of protocols and policies to support the clinical team. Ensure the Clinical Handbook is updated as required.
Produce management / client reports as required.
Establish and regularly review processes to ensure compatible with the client’s database and PAM processes.
Create and deliver presentations to meet the demands of the service to the Client.
Regular meetings with the team to set and review progress of HPP goals.
Meet weekly with each of the multidisciplinary services to review upcoming events, resolve any issues and debrief on any past issues.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
Registered General Nurse
Hold a valid NMC Pin
Hold an Occupational Health Qualification, either certificate, degree or diploma
Have experience of working with an Occupational Health role, as a Senior Advisor
Have experience of Safety Critical requirements and/or the Construction industry
Effective communicator with strong listening and empathetic skills as well as the ability to influence and engage with others.
Have experience in dealing with complex cases
Excellent written and verbal Communication skills
Comfortable delivering presentations to large and small groups, in person or online
Good IT skills
Experience with creating content and delivering health promotion initiatives
