Clinical Governance Director - Responsible for the development of a framework through which all areas of the business are accountable for continuously improving the quality of their services, safeguarding high standards and compliance with the requirements of the organisations accreditations.

Homebased, with occasional travel. Monday – Friday 40 hours per week, 08.00 to 16.30

Salary up to £80,000 + allowances based on experience and qualifications

Accountabilities:

Clinical Development

Contribute to the development of others practice through regular review and update of clinical procedures/processes/protocols relating to core activities within PAM OH Solutions

Coordination of the document control procedure for all PAM business functions relating to clinical and organisational policies, procedures & protocols

Establish specific working groups to utilise subject matter experts within the business in compiling and updating policies, procedures & protocols

Ensure that clinical documents incorporate evidence-based guidance

Liaising with PAM Academy to ensure changes to clinical protocols are communicated through to update appropriate training delivered to clinicians

Encourage individuals to access suitable learning opportunities through PAM Academy Competent at managing client communication

Quality

Ability to maintain and improve quality in all areas of work and practice

Act as role model in quality improvement offering advice and support to others

Keep up to date with quality developments through liaison with Clinical / Compliance team and other interested parties within the business

To work with Clinical Leads, Compliance Team and Managers within PAM to enable colleagues to:

Understand their contribution to quality

Understand expected quality standards related to quality systems

Assess & manage risks to quality

Take an active role in auditing

Maintaining & improving quality

Informally and formally network & share achievements

Accept responsibility for any arising problems or trends

Address & resolve issues related to quality

Maintain and oversee the clinical risk register

Complete all necessary documentation to support quality, risk & accreditations. Maintain and oversee the clinical risk register.

Continuously monitor activities against quality standards, anticipate factors that may reduce quality & take effective action to address them

Coordinate clinical & audit activity

Where poor quality is identified to work with the appropriate colleagues to investigate contributing factors and agree methods for addressing them

Ensure systems are in place for monitoring quality & for investigating incidents and complaints

Health, Safety & Security

Encouraging a working environment & culture that actively promotes health, safety & security, working in collaboration with the compliance team and relevant stakeholders.

Clinical Governance Board

Lead and co-ordinate Clinical Governance Board meetings

Lead the development and implementation of the clinical governance strategy.

Service Development

Ability to contribute to the implementation of new services

To provide advice on clinical audit & clinical effectiveness findings

Develop clinical networks to support interpretation of research.

Relationships

To build relationships at all levels of the organisation & specifically with:

With the aim of establishing goals & methods for developing knowledge, ideas & work practices.

Represent PAM OH Solutions on the Compliance Board.

Ability to establish & maintain communication with various individuals & groups within PAM OH Solutions & the wider PAM Business Units.

The candidate will have an OH background and be a Registered Specialist Comm Public Health Nurse - OH

IT Literacy

Effective Communications skills.

Experience at Senior management level with proven experience in a clinical governance at a senior level
