The School and RoleA specialist All through school in Maidenhead Berkshire, the school are looking for a Childrens Mental Health Assistant to support young people and children with a diverse range of needs including moderate to severe and complex learning needs, sensory processing difficulties and associated speech, language and communication difficulties, including autistic spectrum disorders.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Children's Mental Health Assistant, you will be based inside the classroom supporting students within education. Class sizes are small to ensure the needs of each pupil are met. You will be responsible for supporting their educational, social, and emotional development.
Requirements- Have a caring, supportive and nurturing personality
- Have experience working with those who are non-verbal, pre verbal.
- Have relevant experience of working with children, young people or vulnerable adults within an education setting
- Be patient, caring and adaptable to each young person you will support
- Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system.
