Job summary
CAMHS Registered Practitioner- Creative Therapist:
HCPC qualified Art Psychotherapist, Dramatherapist, Music Therapist or Dance Movement Psychotherapist (UKCP)
We are looking for experienced and qualified Creative Therapist/ Arts Psychotherapist to join our Core CAMHS team
Do you have a core registration as an allied health professional HCPC or UKCP? Are you passionate about providing quality mental health services for children, young people and their networks, using creative psychological interventions tailored to their needs?
You will have the necessary knowledge and clinical skills to:
Offer assessments for children, young people and families
Create integrated biological, psychological, and social formulations to aid an understanding of the child or young person's needs
Utilize evidence based, goal focused and effective interventions which lead to a helpful and co-produced discharge from our service.
Have clinical experience of working within an MDT and as part of the child's wider network.
Within Core CAMHS we offer individual, family and group interventions which may be time limited or longer-term according to agreed need. Core CAMHS delivers high quality mental health services to children and young people until their 18th birthday.
We pride ourselves on working within a supportive, experienced and progressive multi-disciplinary team MDT including having a diverse workforce to meet the range of clinical needs.
Main duties of the job
Key elements of the job:
Provide a range of specialist CAMHS assessment and treatment interventions for children and young people as well as their families/ carer's who present with emotional and mental health difficulties
Provide care-coordination responsibilities for an agreed caseload of children and young people presenting with complex and high-risk mental health issues.
There will be a specific focus upon providing specialist clinical assessment, formulation and treatment.
Provide self-harm and safety assessments where the Voice of the Child is embedded within personalised care planning.
Demonstrating a commitment to ensuring routine outcome measures are embedded within clinical practice to demonstrate clinical based improvements for children, young people and parents/carers.

Ensure high quality, accurate and contemporaneous clinical record keeping is maintained in line with current Trust policies.

Provide clinical supervision to junior staff as required as well as CPD learning activities within the team.
Provide professional based clinical reasoning, knowledge, skills and competencies regarding a range of CAMHS therapeutic interventions.
Demonstrate commitment to working with team colleagues to develop a strong multidisciplinary ethos and focus to delivering high quality clinical services.
The voice of the child will be central to developing personalised care planning for all children and young people.
