Behaviour Mentor - Secondary School - Coventry - From 95 PAYE per day

Long Term Futures is working in partnership with a mainstream OFSTED-rated 'Good' secondary school in Coventry to recruit a resilient and adaptable Behaviour Mentor.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience supporting young people in classroom settings across a range of year groups. The role focuses on helping students to engage positively with learning and supporting behaviour management strategies in class.

We are looking for a confident, proactive individual who can build strong relationships with students and staff, remain calm under pressure, and encourage pupils to develop positive attitudes towards learning and behaviour.



The Role:

  • Provide behaviour support within classrooms across a variety of year groups (KS3 and KS4)

  • Work closely with teaching staff to implement consistent behaviour management strategies

  • Build positive relationships with students to promote engagement and focus in lessons

  • Support students in overcoming barriers to learning, encouraging positive social skills and emotional regulation

  • Assist in maintaining a purposeful, orderly classroom environment to support learning for all pupils

  • Respond to challenging behaviour in a professional, calm and consistent manner



What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience working in a secondary school or similar educational setting
  • Strong behaviour management skills and confidence managing challenging situations
  • Ability to work flexibly across multiple classes and year groups as needed
  • Resilient, calm and approachable with a professional attitude
  • A commitment to promoting positive student behaviour and wellbeing
  • A relevant qualification in education or behaviour support (desirable but not essential)
