Commutable Areas: Esher, Surbiton, Kingston upon Thames, Leatherhead, Weybridge

Day Rate: 90- 105 per day

Contract: Long-term to permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Are you a dedicated Behaviour Mentor looking to make a significant impact within a supportive primary school setting in Claygate?

Join a nurturing primary school in Claygate, known for its supportive, inclusive environment and focus on student well-being.

The school offers excellent facilities like a forest school and a 'zen zone' to aid student regulation and is committed to positive behaviour management.

As a Behaviour Mentor, you'll support students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs, fostering a positive learning atmosphere and implementing effective behaviour strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build trusting relationships with students, acting as a positive role model.
  • Develop and implement individual behaviour support plans and SEMH interventions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents on consistent behaviour management.
  • Promote positive behaviours and reinforce school values and expectations.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualifications: Relevant training in behaviour management, youth work, or mental health support is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Behaviour Mentor or in a similar role supporting students with SEMH or challenging behaviour.
  • Soft Skills: Resilience, empathy, patience, strong communication, rapport-building, and de-escalation skills.
