
Band 7 Highly Specialised Occupational Therapist
Job summary
We are currently looking for a motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic and friendly interdisciplinary Therapy Team at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust as a Band 7 team lead in the Medical team.
Main duties of the job
This post holder will have their own caseload of complex medical in patients. They will provide clinical and managerial support to the therapy team working in specialty areas including infectious diseases, cardiology and respiratory medicine. Part of this role is to provide expert input to improve patient outcomes, facilitate discharge planning and provide supervision to the band 5 OT, students and Therapy Assistants. They will receive regular supervision and peer support as well as have opportunities for study, leadership and in-house training.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and experienced Occupational Therapist who has significant experience of working with people with a variety of medical conditions. Applicants must demonstrate a broad knowledge of treatment strategies, have excellent and advanced communication skills and demonstrate a flexible and positive approach. They should have the ability to work well in a team and to plan and run a project.
