Responsibilities
  • Work across education settings delivering evidence based early interventions and Whole Setting Approach (WSA) initiatives.
  • Provide clinical expertise and advice to staff, including assessments and interventions for young people with mild to moderate mental health and emotional needs.
  • Line manage junior clinical staff, supporting and developing the team.
  • Deliver assemblies, workshops and group or one to one low intensity CBT interventions to primary, secondary and further education settings.
  • Facilitate supervision, plan and create resources, and help lead team meetings.
  • Travel across the Birmingham and Solihull area as required.
Core Functions
  • Deliver evidence based interventions for mild to moderate mental health issues.
  • Support senior mental health leads in schools and colleges to introduce or develop whole school or whole college approaches.
  • Provide timely advice to school and college staff and liaise with external specialist services to ensure children and young people receive appropriate support.
Qualifications
  • Registered with the relevant professional body.
  • Experience in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and relevant clinical background (e.g., Nurse, OT, Social Worker, CWP, or EMHP).
  • Desirable: Completion of a Postgraduate Certificate in Low Intensity Supervision Training (LIST).
