Job summary

Havant and Petersfield Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service are excited to invite applications for a Band 7 Art Psychotherapist. This is a great opportunity to join our team in Children & Families Service line to support in the delivery of high quality children's mental health services.

The successful candidate will have a keen interest in working collaboratively with children and families and with partner agencies to promote positive outcomes for children and families in Southampton. You will have a role in offering core interventions as well as specialist Art Psychotherapy interventions to children and adolescents and their families, as well as consultation to the team and professional networks.

This position calls for a professional with HCPC registration. In all cases, you must be able to demonstrate the clinical, consultation and skills needed to offer an outstanding service. First-class communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills are, of course, essential.

Main duties of the job

To work as a member of the clinical team / service within Hampshire CAMHS, providing a high quality, specialist psychological therapy service to clients, their families, or carers. In addition, to support psychological practice within the team through consultation, supervision, formulation, and training and by participating in creative therapies clinical governance.

To work with complex presentations suitable for psychological therapy in the team, utilising a high level of knowledge and experience and adapting approaches as appropriate, with regard to evidence-based practice.

To develop to the role of the arts in the clinical service / team through work with arts in health practitioners / volunteers.
