Job summary
The post holder will work as a Specialist CAMHS Mental Health Nurse (Band 7) within the Adolescent Mental Health Team (AMHT) based in South Bedfordshire - Luton.
The role involves delivering specialist mental health assessments, interventions, and care coordination for adolescents, presenting with complex and high-risk mental health needs, including first-episode psychosis, severe depression, emotional dysregulation, self-harm, and trauma-related difficulties.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will act as a Care Coordinator within the Care Programme Approach (CPA) framework, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) that includes psychiatry, psychology, social work, and occupational therapy.
They will contribute to the delivery of safe, effective, and evidence-based care, ensuring the involvement of young people and families throughout the therapeutic process, and will uphold the Trust's values of We Care, We Respect, We Are Inclusive.
